In the name of Los Angeles, we have something
for occultists to ponder over. The casual repeti-
tions of the word in our daily life have produced a
curious effect upon the psyche of our citizens.
As the name designates the higher order of beings,
there has developed in the unconscious of old-
time Angelenos the ineradicable conviction that
the name was prophetically given-with them-
selves especially in view.
