Two friends of mine registered at Crate and Barrel when they got married a few years ago. One of them had a collection of semi-distant relatives from a small mid-western enclave, who proudly turned up at the wedding with a $50 gift certificate to Cracker Barrel. My father has to go to a ridiculously large and formal ceremony this coming weekend and has yet to purchase a gift – I’m pushing hard for Cracker Barrel.
