This is my grandmother's birthday. She's not alive but if she was, she'd be 94 years old.

Stop #1
Coffee shop. Eye opener. Yum. Most people coming in both recognized the corn and smiled. I suggested coffee with a cart of corn makes it all somewhat acceptable.

Rattle rattle rattle rattle. Kinda quiet otherwise - quiet side streets and it being Friday morning and all.

Stop #2
Whole foods - produce section. Melinda had to pee and I ate free non-organic, California strawberries. Some kid saw the camera and freaked out on Melinda and ran to get the manager so we left.

Melinda says the camera is what alarmed him not the corn. Security issue and all I guess. Still it surprises me that some kid is blowing the whistle on us just to defend a corporation.

There is a beautiful apricot tree in this yard - laden with beautiful fruit. Bill, who received the cart, told us that it is from a seedling from a pit planted by their now dead neighbor lady. It is truly huge and sprawls gracefully over the garage and into the alley.

Bill says the fruit is good for jam.
